Meet your dentist — Moore Dental Center

Meet Dr. Aaron Moore

A Parkersburg native, trusted general dentist and lifelong student of advanced TMJ and sleep care, Dr. Aaron Moore believes exceptional dentistry begins by listening carefully and treating every patient as a person, not a chart.

A Career That Brought Him Home

Dr. Moore grew up in Parkersburg and returned to the Mid-Ohio Valley in 1999 after earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry.

Today, he carries forward Moore Dental Center’s decades-long tradition of personal, comprehensive care. His approach combines the familiarity of a hometown practice with a commitment to continued learning, so patients can receive thoughtful guidance grounded in both experience and current clinical education.

A Commitment to Continued Education

Dr. Moore’s education includes focused study with respected programs and clinicians in restorative dentistry, craniofacial pain and dental sleep medicine.

In 2019, following the completion of a residency program in Dallas, TX, Dr. Moore was awarded the status of Fellow with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

Dr. Moore is designated as a "qualified dentist" with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. This designation means that he has met and exceeded a specific level of training and education set forth by the AADSM to competently assess and treat patients for sleep-related breathing disorders.

His years of training include instruction by world-renowned doctors such as Dr. Peter Dawson at the Dawson Academy and Dr. Mark Piper at the Piper Education and Research Center

Advanced Training Shaped by Firsthand Experience

Dr. Moore’s pursuit of advanced education in TMJ disorders and sleep apnea is personal: he has experienced both conditions himself. That experience led him to study craniofacial pain, bite relationships and dental sleep medicine well beyond the requirements of general practice. His goal is not simply to identify symptoms, but to understand how a patient’s jaw function, airway, sleep and overall comfort may connect.

Care Built Around Conversation

Dr. Moore wants patients to understand what he sees, what their options are and why a recommendation may, or may not, make sense for them.

Whether you are visiting for preventive care, rebuilding a damaged smile or seeking answers about jaw pain or sleep-disordered breathing, you can expect an unhurried conversation and a plan shaped around your needs, priorities and comfort.
